In September I signed up for an evening course in popular singing at Leeds College of Music. I go along every Monday evening, 6.30-8, and I have to say it's brilliant. Those of you who know me will know that I'm bonkers about singing, if I could I'd be a professional singer (but alas, the need for money prevents me.) The great thing about this class is that I'm getting lessons, so improving my own voice, but I also get to hear other people sing too and learn to sing in front of them. I've noticed a huge improvement already.
We tend to do a new song every fortnight, and so far we've done 'Sailing', 'My Baby Just Cares for Me', 'Always On My Mind', 'Proud Mary', 'Bad Day' and tonight we're doing an old favourite from my Rev days, 'Lean On Me.' We've also done solo performances with our own choice of song, for which I did 'Bridge over Troubled Water'. I'm so proud of myself for even attempting that song, for me it shows how far I've come.
I can't wait to get to the end of the course and see how my voice and performance style have changed. Then maybe I could at least be an amateur singer. Bec: available for weddings, parties and all other functions!

Piccie of my house!
Here it is ... Fidler Towers, as Emma calls it!!!
And if you look up to the roof ... that's my bedroom under there! Yep, the little window at the top is mine! And the blind's part open ... hmmm ... I never open the blind so I don't know who did that. Oh well.
So yes, this is my place of residence until 23rd June. If you're a friend, maybe you'll get to see it for real one day. If you're just browsing my blog randomly, you probably won't, and if you do see it, frankly, I'm a little scared by that.

Caught in a net
Hurrah I finally have internet access at home! Yippee!!
But now I don't have much to say. Oh dear. Well, since my last post, I've had an unsuccessful job interview, learnt how to knit in the round to make Mum's mittens, and sorted out catering for the wedding. And this week I have the joy of working in a private nursery for 3 days. Must try to restrain myself from throttling the kids, I hate nursery work!
